Planning the Website Flow: Key Elements and Customization

When building this pharmacy website, the main thing I had to plan for was the website flow. Ensuring a smooth and intuitive navigation experience was essential to meet both the client's needs and the expectations of the users. Here’s how I approached the process and the key elements we focused on.

Key Elements Required

From the outset, my client specified several critical components for the website:

  • Product Section: To showcase and detail the pharmacy's offerings.
  • Blog: For sharing informative articles related to health and wellness.
  • Contact Us Section: Providing easy access to contact information and forms.
  • Prescription Section: To manage and provide information about prescriptions.

Customizing the Template

With these key elements in mind, I customized the Webflow template. The main goals were to maintain a modern aesthetic, minimize on-page content for better readability, and ensure the website catered to patients' needs. Here are some of the strategies I used:

  • Modern Aesthetic: I focused on clean lines, ample white space, and a cohesive color scheme to give the site a contemporary look.
  • Readability: By using clear fonts and a straightforward layout, I ensured that all content was easy to read. For instance, headings were in Montserrat, and body text was in Open Sans, chosen for their clarity and modern appeal.
  • Patient-Focused Setup: Each section of the website was designed with the user's needs in mind. The prescription section was particularly detailed to provide all necessary information clearly and concisely.

Consolidating for Readability

One of the main challenges was consolidating content to enhance readability without losing essential information.

Conclusion

Planning the website flow was a crucial step in building this pharmacy website. By focusing on a modern aesthetic, readability, and patient-focused content, I was able to create a user-friendly and visually appealing site. Customizing the template in Webflow allowed for the flexibility needed to meet all these goals. As we move forward, we'll continue to refine the design based on feedback to ensure the final product exceeds expectations.
