However, before making any final decisions on the parts, I needed to understand the requirements for my main objective: running The Sims smoothly.

To ensure a seamless Sims gaming experience, I conducted thorough research into the necessary resources. Here are my findings:

• Operating system: 64-bit Windows 10
• Processor: Intel Core i5 (4 cores) or faster, AMD Ryzen 5 or better
• Memory (RAM): 8 GB RAM
• Hard drive (free space): At least 50 GB of free space with at least 1 GB additional space for custom content and saved games
• Graphics card (video): 1 GB of Video RAM, NVIDIA GTX 650, AMD Radeon HD 7750, or better
• DirectX version: DirectX 11 Compatible
• Input: Keyboard and mouse
• Internet connection: Required for game activation and optional for game updates

This research was crucial in determining the components needed to achieve my desired outcomes. When managing a project, I always evaluate all potential limitations, as they represent risks. To make efficient project decisions, it’s essential to minimize these risks and reduce the chances of project failure. In this case, the limitations are the basic technology requirements that The Sims needs to run smoothly. Any computer component that falls below these requirements would lead to project failure, as the game wouldn't be able to run effectively.
